(1963) A hunter deliberately guns down his partner and starts a forest fire to cover up the murder. He thinks he’s gotten away with the perfect crime until he spies Forest Ranger Jimmy Grant, who stumbles onto the gruesome scene while out on patrol, witnessing everything. A deadly manhunt begins as unarmed Jimmy runs for his life across the rugged terrain. His relentless pursuer follows him all the way back to the remote cabin where Jimmy’s young bride, Lori, awaits his return, blissfully unaware that her husband and herself are in the crosshairs of a killer’s rifle.
